Slow-release fertilizer is efficient, as only one application is needed per year. Also, it does not carry the same risk of root-burning as cheaper, rapid release fertilizers, making it a much safer option with a broader margin for error.
Note: We do not recommend using this product on newly planted seedlings. Rather, begin using during the second year of growth.
